Datarock from Norway

In the summer of 2000 huddled under a tree at a rainy outdoor festival in Bergen, Fredrik Saroea, Ketil Mosnes and Kevin O'Brien decided to form a band. In 2005 they released their debut album "Datarock Datarock" which received critial acclaim. Datarock really hit it big after being featured on Annie's DJ:Kicks compilation.

Their music is a blend of electronic dance music and indie rock with a point of being silly and fun, without crossing the line.

I'm really psyched about seeing them play live tonight at Airwaves, will post some concert photos and more info tomorrow.

Watch the video below to my favourite track "Computer Camp Love". Great rhymes on top of analogue bit music with references to old american high-school movies (yeah and a bit of grease)
