Get The Blow! Mp3

As always we bring you late news from the edges of the alternative pop world. This time we are late telling you about The Blow aka the two girls Khaela Maricich and teammember Jona Bechtolt. To me these two are a perfect pair and their record Paper Television is just plain addictive. It's minimal indie pop and of the intelligent lo-fi drumbeat kind. Even more than icelander Hafdis Huld in which this duo reminds me.

Just check out the song Parentheses below - it's a absolutely gorgeous song set in a supermarket and helps its lovesick protagonist through the store, with a heartbreaking verse: "If something in the deli aisle/ Makes you cry/ You know I'll put my arm around you/ And I'll walk you outside." Better late than never, right?

I think it's a guy and a girl. Not two girls. Great blog!

Thanks, but I'm sure it's two girls ;-) Jona Bechtolt and Khaela Maricich. Thank you for reading our blog.

Jona is definately a guy. However he's no longer in the band. He is now just working on Y.A.C.H.T. The Blow is now just a solo project of Khaela.

Yeah...Jona is definitely a guy. Jona is short for Jonathan. Go to teamyacht.com if you still don't believe.
