Why exactly they chose to honor themselves after the iconic designcouple Ray & Charles Eames I don't know. Well, at least their music points towards the 50's, and they play this irrestistible girl-fronted indie-pop with an edge.
The music is
indie-twee pop...yeah, well it's sugarcoated alright, but catchy and innoncent as a college school girl and maybe as naughty.
Their style reminds me of
The Pipettes,
Tilly & The Wall and that of
Jenny Lewis of Rilo Kiley. It's girl-fronted pop and doesn't harm a bug, but leaves you happy for some minutes! Catchy can be good. And singer Ashlin Phillips delievers.
