Brightblack Morning Light

I spent this weekend with a couple of my former study pals. That is always good fun and almost a guarantee for musical inspiration as we always talk a LOT about music. The revelation this time around was a desert hippie stoner freak-folk duo Brightblack Morning Light who you can locate in the rural parts of California.

Listening to the extremely chilled out 2006 record "Brightblack Morning Light" (I haven't succeded in writing this name correctly in the first attempt yet...) is feeling great in superslow motion. It is music packed with grooving organs, twangy guitars and dreamy vocals.

As my friend Morten always put it: "As long as it comes from Matador Records, you know it's brilliant".
